Early in the life of Randolph World Ministries, Inc., (RWM) we began to receive donations from local labs and educational institutions. I recall collecting supplies all year long to have enough to supply one clinic with materials for the year. Through steady growth over the years, we reached our capacity of 30 Haitien clinic and accumulated many materials donors. In 2021 we reached a critical point when the quantity of materials provided by our material donors began to exceed the needs of our 30 clinic clients. God gave me a vision of developing Laboratory Supply Companies in Haiti using a franchise model to fulfill 5 primary functions:

1. Provide jobs for our Labsco Franchisees to improve standard of living and infuse the local economy.
2. Offer donated materials at below market pricing so clinic savings can improve healthcare delivery.
3. Offer additional low-cost laboratory products purchased through international sources to expand diagnostic capabilities not currently available in most Haitian clinics.
4. Offer the laboratory diagnostic testing for sickle cell disease developed in Tim’s research lab at Saint Louis University to expand sickle cell diagnosis and treatment in more clinics.
5. Most importantly, generating a profit to be reinvested in the Sickle Cell Program to reduce dependence on donor and grant funding.
