The primary activities of Randolph World Ministries, Inc. involve providing medical laboratory supplies and services to Haitian clinics, Bible studies and pulpit sermons to missionaries and Haitian locals, and personal items like clothing and toiletries to Haitian children in a child sponsorship program. Specifically, Randolph World Ministries, Inc. provides laboratory materials to an ever growing number of clinic laboratories in Haiti. Use the "Haitian Clients" link to view a current list of clients. We have provided medical materials and email consultation to a few additional Haitian laboratories not among the list of clients.
However, the bulk of our efforts have been to provide medical and laboratory supplies, laboratory training, on-site and email consultation, and free mass screening of patients associated with Bethesda Medical Center, a Christian operated clinic located in Vaudreuil, Haiti, just outside of Cap-Haitien. In order to accomplish these activities, Randolph World Ministries, Inc. seeks to grow our current partnership networks and establish new networks as the opportunities arise.
Since 2006, we have provided laboratory testing for a mobile clinic that serves a remote mountain village south of Cap-Haitien called Roque. The team and our medical supplies travel about two hours by truck until the road ends and an additional 2-3 hours on foot (or by donkey) up and over a mountain while Haitian villagers transport our supplies also on foot or by donkey. We see between 60-100 patients per day for 2-3 days during our mobile clinic ventures.
Lastly, we are investigating grant options that may fund research projects that will serve the current medical needs of the Haitian people but will also blaze a trail to address future medical issues. Currently, we are investigating a new test for sickle cell anemia and a cheaper test for HIV in hopes of developing clinics for patients with these diseases. Ideally, we hope to secure grant funding to provide all testing and treatment free of charge.
